Starting A Home Bakery Business in Your State?

Home and Hearth Press was created with one simple goal: to help aspiring bakers turn their love of baking into a thriving business by making sense of the cottage food laws that can often feel overwhelming. As more states began easing and expanding their cottage food laws, we saw an opportunity to support people who wanted to start their own home bakeries but didn’t know where to begin. 

Many talented bakers struggle to navigate state-specific regulations—figuring out what can be sold, where they can sell, and how to properly label and package their products. We realized that while the opportunity was there, the guidance in the form of baking guides was not always easy to find or understand. That’s why we decided to create a clear, step-by-step guide tailored to each state’s requirements, written in plain language so anyone can follow it. 

In addition to our Home Cottage Bakery Guides, we will also be featuring gently used cookbooks and housewares, including baking ware, kitchen ware, and dinnerware. Some will be new and some gently used, but most of all, they will be affordable. Keep checking back as we will be adding merchandise on a regular basis.
